Abstract
The regularities of adsorption of alkyl hydrogen maleates with various chain length of hydrocarbon residue steel surface has been studied. A chemisorption mechanism of interaction has been established for these substances, which provides the opportunity to recommend them as steel surface modifying agents for polymer coatings. The preference of mono ester with a relatively small alkyl residue usage has been shown.
