Ep. Sharun et al., PROPERTIES OF AQUEOUS-SOLUTIONS OF CARBOXYL-CONTAINING OLIGOESTERS USED FOR MODIFYING THE SURFACES OF PIGMENTS, Russian journal of applied chemistry, 66(5), 1993, pp. 975-978
The properties of the aqueous solutions of carboxyl-containing oligoes
ters for the surface treatment of the pigments have been investigated.
The oligoesters studied are those derived from pentaerythritol, terep
hthalic acid, and phthalic anhydride. The dependence of electric condu
ctivity, surface tension, and viscosity of aqueous solutions of the ol
igoesters on the concentration of the solution and the content of carb
oxyl groups in the oligoester has been elucidated. The type of the oli
goester and concentration of its aqueous solution for the surface trea
tment of the pigment are recommended.
