Abstract
Together with the MD(Mini Disc) system, the DCC(Digital Compact Casset te) system is considered a successor to the ACC(Analogue Compact Casse tte) system. In the system which we developed, a new architec ture for signal processing is adopted to apply for the magnetic heads which ha ve the wrong frequency characteristics caused by coating processes. Th is paper describes newly developed technology includes the above archi tecture:head technology, head amplifier technology, digital-equalizing technology, data-detecting technology, errorcorrecting technology, an d PASC(Precision Adaptive Subband Coding) technology.
