Abstract
One of the most important factors for ''VIEWCAM'' to improve its perfo rmance is the speedup of AF(autofocus) and ZOOM. In this paper, the AF technique which has realized speedup using change of slope in focusin g data, and the speedup of ZOOM with stepping motor are explicated. In addition, an improved method for trapezoid-wave drive of stepping mot or is described.
