A maximum-entropy method has been applied to transverse-field muon-spi
n-rotation vortex data of RBa2Cu3O7 (R 1:2:3:7; R =Er, Gd, and Eu); th
is produces spectra representing estimates for the magnetic-field dist
ributions. The information on the field distribution is of better qual
ity than that resulting from Fourier transformation and curve fitting
of the same data. Significant deviations from Abrikosov predictions ha
ve been observed for the estimated R 1:2:3:7 vortex-field distribution
s. Below 10 K, for Er 1:2:3:7 and Gd 1:2:3:7, the non-Abrikosov featur
es appear to be influenced by the magnetism of the rare-earth layers.
