Abstract
Presents allometric estimators relating aboveground and belowground co mponent weights to diameter measurements of more than 2,500 trees and shrubs encompassing 35 woody species sampled from 8 soil series. The e stimators were only weakly related to soil character but were strongly influenced by population density variation induced by silvicultural t reatment.
