As a part of the INTEGRAL project, small CsI(Tl) scintillation crystal
s have been irradiated with high-energy protons (0.2 and 1.0 GeV) in o
rder to measure the induced radioactivity. The unstable isotopes have
been identified by gamma-ray spectroscopy using a HP Ge detector. Comp
arison of the results with previous theoretical assessments are presen
ted, together with the implications for the background rejection for t
he INTEGRAL imager.
