Abstract
A 30-year-old man with AIDS developed separate episodes of bacteremia with multiple organisms including CDC group IVc-2, related to an indwe lling central venous catheter. Recovery at each interval followed anti biotic therapy and replacement of the central venous access. This is t he first reported case of infection with this organism in a patient wi th AIDS. A review of the biochemical features of this bacterium as wel l as pertinent literature is presented.
