Abstract
Boundary layer solutions are presented to study the combined forced an d free convection from a vertical continuous moving plate to a micropo lar fluid. The boundary conditions of isothermal wall and constant sur face heat flux are considered. Numerical results are obtained for the velocity and temperature distribution and the missing wall values of t he velocity and thermal functions. Micropolar fluids display drag redu ction and reduced surface heat transfer rate when compared to Newtonia n fluids.
