Abstract
The PC rate at Kakogawa No.1 blast furnace was increased from 110 kg/t hm starting in October 1992. As a result, in December 1992, the PC rat e had reached 187 kg/thm on a monthly average. Some phenomena were obs erved in the furnace with a high PC rate using sensors, such as racewa y probe and burden profilometer with microwave. Information on raceway condition, burden distribution, etc., was obtained.
