Abstract
Carcinoma of the oropharynx poses particular challenges and problems t o head and neck clinicians. These include relative anatomic inaccessib ility, field cancerization and the need to minimize speech and swallow ing dysfunction. The aim of this review is to bring together an apprec iation of the issues involved in the management of this disease and di e more recent results of its treatment.
