Abstract
The purpose of this paper is to serve as a MAC (Morphology Antibody Ch romosome) manual describing combined methodologies that allow simultan eous and/or sequential analysis of cell morphology, immunophenotype, a nd banded chromosomes and/or in situ hybridization signals. The MAC te chniques used at the Department of Medical Genetics of the University of Helsinki, Finland, are described and modifications or related techn iques reported by other authors are discussed. A list of references co ncerning applications is also given.
