Abstract
[Ni(C3H4NO3)2(CH3OH)2].2CH3OH contains Ni in a six-coordinated state a nd decomposes rapidly in air by loss of methanol. The Ni coordination environment is a slightly distorted octahedron. The anions' of the 2-h ydroxyiminopropionic acids lie in a plane in a trans position to each other. Octahedral coordination is completed by two CH3OH molecules.
