Cd. Yang et al., EXPERIMENTAL-DESIGN OF H-INFINITY WEIGHTING FUNCTIONS FOR FLIGHT CONTROL-SYSTEMS, Journal of guidance, control, and dynamics, 17(3), 1994, pp. 544-552
This paper introduces an experimental solution for H(infinity) weighti
ng function selection by exploiting an experimental planning method th
at has been used in quality control. Conducting matrix experiments usi
ng special matrices, called orthogonal arrays, allows the effects of s
everal weighting parameters to be determined efficiently so that the r
esulting H(infinity) controller can satisfy many design specifications
simultaneously in the environment for which the controller is designe
d. To show the feasibility and efficiency of this methodology, a fligh
t control system for an airplane is designed to satisfy 11 performance
specifications simultaneously, when the airplane is undergoing a larg
e shift in c.g. position.
