Abstract
Perturbative methods are used to calculate the screening potential ene rgy of a static quark-antiquark pair by considering the color-averaged Wilson line. Our results are in agreement with the current understand ing of the behavior of QCD at high temperature, Comparison with a J/ps i production experiment in ultra-relativistic heavy-ion collision is a lso discussed in this letter.
