Abstract
In adult, sexually-experienced male rats, the NPY-antagonist benextram ine-at the doses of 5 and 10 mg/kg i.p. and of 50 mu g/rat i.c.v.-sign ificantly and specifically improved several parameters of copulatory a ctivity. These data may further support the idea that NPY plays a role in the complex regulation of male sexual function, seemingly at the b rain level.
