D. Bozic et al., STRUCTURE AND MICROHARDNESS OF PRECIPITATION DISPERSION HARDENED CU-TI-B AND CU-TI-SI ALLOYS, Materials characterization, 32(2), 1994, pp. 97-103
Microstructure and microhardness of precipitation/dispersion hardened
Cu-Ti-B and Cu-Ti-Si alloys have been studied. Two different prealloy
preparation procedures were used to obtain ingots as a starting materi
al for a subsequent gas atomization process performed at 1400-degrees-
C. The strengthening effect in Cu-Ti-B heat-treated powders is higher
than that of heat-treated Cu-Ti alloys (with higher Ti content) produc
ed by standard melting and casting procedure. The strengthening of Cu-
Ti-Si powders is less pronounced.
