Mechanical milling of pre-alloyed Ti-47.5Al-3Cr (at.%) powder has been
carried out in a vibratory mill. The microstructural evolution of the
materials was studied as a function of milling time. An ultrafine mic
rostructure was produced with a crystallite size of about 15 nm and a
partial amorphization was obtained after 2 hours of milling.
