Abstract
New catalysts based on oxide systems have been used for the synthesis of nitriles. It has been shown that, in a series of contacts containin g Na, K, Pb and Ca, the overall nitrile yield increases. When formalde hyde is used instead of methanol, the ratio C2H3CN/C2H5CN in the initi al mixture increases by a factor of 2-9. Copyright (C) 1996 Elsevier S cience Ltd.
