Abstract
Solvent effects on the charge-transfer bands of a series of thiocyanat o-tetraazamacrocycle-manganese(III) complexes are reported, and discus sed in terms of the donor and acceptor (hydrogen-bonding) properties o f the respective solvents. The piezochromic behaviour of one of these complexes is also described.
