Abstract
We have studied the problem of coherent tunnelling through a double-ba rrier structure of GaAs-AlGaAs in the presence of light, considered to be present all over the structure: emitter, well and collector, with a frequency in the infrared range. By means of a canonical transformat ion, and in the framework of the time-dependent perturbation theory ap proach, we have calculated the transmission coefficient and the electr onic resonant current. Our calculations have been compared with experi mental results, turning out to be in good agreement.
