Abstract
Cluster formation and precrystallization have been investigated in Fe- Ni-B amorphous alloys in various relaxed states. Following in situ hea t treatment during quenching, measurements of the Curie temperature, c oercive force and mean magnetic moment were made, and the structure wa s investigated by transmission electron microscopy. It is shown that c luster formation may occur due to heat treatment, the effect of which changes the magnetic properties. The clusters may contain small crysta llites that can be taken as precrystallization.
