The simulation of magnetic material behaviour is generally used for th
e optimization and design of electrical machines. It requires a good k
nowledge of the material performances for any exciting field condition
s. For the characterization of magnetic iron sheets in rotating fields
, a device has been simulated. This problem has been treated with the
magnetic scalar potential. The numerical simulation of our device show
ed that magnetic field was only uniform in the central part of the sam
ple. In order to minimize the change in induction and magnetic field i
n the central region of the sample the influence of some parameters ha
s been studied in 3D.
