The spin alignment of rho0(770) mesons has been investigated in ppBAR
interactions at 32 GeV/c. The statistics of 250 K ppBAR collisions was
obtained with the help of the liquid hydrogen bubble chamber ''Mirabe
lle''. Various reference frames have been used in the analysis and the
most profound effect has been revealed in the transversity frame. The
measured value of the spin density matrix element rho00 amounts to 0.
447 +/- 0.033. The Absolute value of x - and p(t)2-dependences of rho(
00) have been studied and a strong increase of rho(00) has been detect
ed in regions of enlarged Absolute value of x and p(t)2. It is shown t
hat the spin alignment of rho0(770) takes place in both annihilation a
nd nonannihilation channels. In addition, a sizable spin alignment of
f2(1270) mesons in the Gottfried-Jackson frame has been found in the f
ragmentation region Absolute value of x > 0.4.
