Using the parametrization method we prove that in QCD the magnetic mom
ents M(DELTA) of the four DELTA's are almost proportional to their cha
rges Q(DELTA) (''almost'' means neglecting a term O(1/300)); that is,
writing M(DELTA) = kQ(DELTA) + beta, we have beta/k congruent-to 3 . 1
0(-3). Moreover the value of the coefficient k is not affected by flav
or breaking. These properties are, we show, a particular case of a mor
e general result: In QCD the flavor properties of the lowest nonstrang
e baryonic states valid in unbroken SU3 (flavor) hold ''almost'' exact
ly. Finally we compare these results with those obtained by Lagrangian
models with 0- meson fields treated as independent degrees of freedom
; the case of the cloudy bag model is illustrated in some detail.
