Abstract
Alloys of the 7XXX type were prepared using the spray atomization-depo sition method. These alloys were also hot extruded and subsequently he at treated at different temperatures. Microstructural characterization of the alloys was carried out by transmission electron microscopy and X-rav diffractometry. The mechanical properties were assessed through tensile tests using an Instron machine.
