Abstract
In the course of an extensive study of antinuclear antibodies in lupus patients and their family members, three conclusions were reached : c onformational epitopes were exceptionally targetted, one linear epitop e per protein was immunodominant, and some antibodies correlated to th e age whereas others were related to the inbreeding coefficient.
