J. Cosserat et al., TREATMENT OF SOULIER-BOFFA SYNDROME WITH INTRAVENOUS IMMUNOGLOBULINS - POSSIBLE DISSOCIATION OF CLINICAL AND BIOLOGICAL EFFECTS, La Revue de medecine interne, 14(6), 1993, pp. 406-406
The treatment of the antiphospholipid syndrome with fetal loss (Soulie
r-Boffa) is not clearly defined. We have treated 3 women with intraven
ous-immunoglobulin alone or associated with aspirin, heparin or cortic
osteroids. All three gave birth to live children. The biological resul
ts showed in one case a disappearance of anticardiolipin antibodies, b
ut in two others cases the level of antibodies is still high. These da
te show that clinical and biological results can be different in Souli
er-Boffa syndrome under treatment.
