We report seven cases of valvular heart replacement in patients with s
ystemic lupus erythematosus or primary antiphospholipid syndrome. All
patients were alive with a mean follow-up of 60 months ; the post-oper
ative period was uncomplicated in 5 patients ; mediastinum infection w
as observed in two patients and hemorrhagic complications in one chron
ically hemodialyzed patient.
