We report on 5 patients with antiphospholipid syndrome secondary to sy
stemic lupus erythematosus, that developed malignant systemic hyperten
sion and renal insufficiency due to unilateral renal artery lesion suc
h as stenosis (n = 3) or thrombosis (n = 2), in absence of overt diffu
se lupus nephritis.
