Abstract
The study was conducted to elucidate the role of age and season on the thickness of skin and its different layers in 3-breed cross female ca ttle having preponderance of Jersey in one group and of Friesian in th e other. Only the skin and dermis thickness increased with age. The pa ns affected by season were the cuticle and epidermis. Significantly th inner cuticle and epidermis during summer in JFL group indicated that this group might be better adapted to tropical summer than the FJL gro up animals.
