Ak. Singhvi et al., LUMINESCENCE CHRONOLOGY OF A FOSSIL DUNE AT BUDHA-PUSHKAR, THAR DESERT - PALEOENVIRONMENTAL AND ARCHAEOLOGICAL IMPLICATIONS, Current Science, 66(10), 1994, pp. 770-773
Chronological studies on a fossil dune at Budha Pushkar in Thar desert
suggest that the existing hypothesis of a wetter Middle Palaeolithic
period in the region is not tenable. The present study suggests a revi
sion of the stratigraphic framework of this regionally correlatable se
quence in the Thar desert and questions the earlier archaeological inf
erences.
