Abstract
Ray-based methods have been previously developed for accurately predic ting the electromagnetic scattering from cavity interiors that allowed for realistic modelling of complex cavities such as jet engine inlets . An analytic geometric model is developed for bifurcated cavities bas ed on connecting sections of generalized super-ellipse functions. The electromagnetic scattering from such cavities using the 'shooting and bouncing rays' (SBR) method is discussed.
