Local structure of infinite-layered superconductor (Sr1-yCay)(1-x)LaxC
uO2 (0 less than or equal to x less than or equal to 0.12, 0 less than
or equal to y less than or equal to 0.20) was investigated by studyin
g the Extended X-Ray Absorption Fine Structure (EXAFS). The results sh
owed that both the Sr1-xLaxCuO2 (0 less than or equal to x less than o
r equal to 0.12) and (Sr1-yCay)(0.9)La0.1CuO2 (0 less than or equal to
y less than or equal to 0.20) systems have local structure consistent
with that expected from the ideal infinite-layer structure at room te
mperature, without obvious deviation of oxygen ions from the CuO2 plan
e.
