Abstract
This work is concerned with the modelling and numerical simulation of laser-produced plasmas giving rise to x-ray radiation issuing from Li- like ions during the recombination phase. Full time-dependent kinetics and the quasi-steady state approximation for excited levels are compa red. Effects on hydrodynamics and on the gain evolution of the limitat ion of the electron heat flux, of energy loss by radiation and of radi ation trapping are examined. The lasing transitions 3d-4f and 3d-5f in Al10+ ions are considered.
