Abstract
This paper contains recent results of ATM traffic studies obtained by the project partners involved in the Broadband Local Network Technolog y (BLNT) RACE project 1012. These studies are concerned with congestio n notification methods, problems in conjunction with Peak Cell Rate co ntrol and the analysis of multi-stage switching systems. The implicati ons of these studies on the design and performance of an ATM node are discussed.
