Abstract
Measuring sweat CI concentration requires multiple steps. Following pi locarpine iontophoresis we compared CI concentrations of sweat obtaine d on gauze pads to microvolumes (5 mu L) collected into capillary tube s (N = 111). Chloride concentrations obtained by these two methods cor related significantly (r = 0.95; P < 0.001), indicating that CI concen tration can be measured accurately and easily on small volumes.
