A. Yoshida et al., SIMULTANEOUS MEASUREMENT OF THERMOPHYSICAL AND RADIATIVE PROPERTIES OF SEMITRANSPARENT LIQUIDS, Fluid phase equilibria, 125(1-2), 1996, pp. 275-282
A method of simultaneous measurement of the thermal conductivity and a
bsorption coefficient of radiation by arbitrary heating is proposed fo
r semi-transparent liquids and non-scattering of radiation. These prop
erties were determined by a numerical analysis of the combined transfe
r of conduction and radiation in the specimen system on the basis of t
he measured data of the temperature changes with time. This method was
applied to some kinds of liquid. The determined values of both proper
ties agree with the available data obtained separately by using the ex
isting methods.
