Abstract
The effect of replacing 30 % of portland cement by Spanish fly ash (cl ass F according to ASTM C-618) and their sized fractions obtained usin g sieves on compressive and flexural strength of mortars was investiga ted. The study reveals an enhancement of compressive strength when fin eness of fly ash fraction increases, particles with diameter less than 10 mum being crucial.
