Abstract
Hearing threshold levels and equal loudness level contours of 1/3-octa ve noise bands at 40 phon and 60 phon were measured for 27 normal hear ing listeners in an approximately diffuse sound field. The threshold d ata in the frequency range 125 Hz to 1 kHz were 3-6 dB higher than the values given in ISO 226-1987. The equal loudness data in the frequenc y range 125 Hz to 500 Hz exceeded the ISO 226-1987 values by 5-10 dB.
