Abstract
We have measured the anisotropic transport properties of Bi2223/Ag tap es with and without the silver sheath. The anisotropy ratio of the res istivity along the rolling plane to the resistivity perpendicular to t he rolling plane (approximately 4-10) is orders of magnitude smaller t han single-crystal anisotropy ratios. Results are consistent with curr ent flow along crystallographic ab planes even for transport normal to the tape plane.
