A. Tanihata et al., SCANNING HALL-PROBE MICROSCOPY OF THE REMANENT STATE OF AG-SHEATHED BI2223 TAPES, Superconductor science and technology, 9(12), 1996, pp. 1055-1059
A scanning Hall probe has been applied for observing the spatial distr
ibution of the trapped magnetic field in superconducting Ag-sheathed B
i2223 tapes. Tapes with a transport J(c) of 1192-10 084 A cm(-2) have
been imaged with a spatial resolution of 100 mu m. Non-uniform field-p
rofiles are often observed and attributed to some imperfections in the
oxide core. Hall-probe micrography is thus quite useful for non-destr
uctive examination of Ag-sheathed Bi2223 tapes.
