Abstract
During biosynthesis, MHC class II molecules travel through the endocyt ic pathway and interact with antigenic peptides before their stable in sertion in the plasma membrane. The process of class II association wi th these peptides and their final deposition at the cell surface are e ssential steps in boosting specific antibody responses. Therefore, the study of class II molecules is important in understanding how cell-bi ological events can direct an immune response.
