Cardiac or pulmonary arrest at the scene of a house fire can be associ ated with cerebral anoxia in burn patients, and this may influence fur ther treatment decisions Our experience with such patients supports an aggressive initial approach to resuscitation in paediatric burn patie nts with a history of prehospital cardiac or respiratory arrest.
