Abstract
A detailed, stepwise computer simulation model was developed for dislo cation motion, both athermally and thermally activated, in random and nonrandom (fcc) solid solutions. In the case of random solid solutions , very good agreement was obtained between the experimental results an d computer simulation-generated data. It was shown that a short-range order arrangement of solute atoms does not result in strengthening.
