V. Lupu et Lb. Milstein, PERFORMANCE ANALYSIS OF A COHERENT FREQUENCY-HOPPED SPREAD-SPECTRUM SYSTEM WITH MULTIPATH CHANNEL EQUALIZATION IN THE PRESENCE OF JAMMING, IEEE transactions on communications, 42(2-4), 1994, pp. 1325-1338
A method of equalization for a coherent frequency hopped spread-spectr
um receiver, operating in a heavily multipath-contaminated channel, is
presented. The performance in the presence of thermal noise and eithe
r noise or multi-tone jamming is obtained and compared with the perfor
mance of a noncoherent frequency hopped spread-spectrum system operati
ng in the same environment. It is shown that significant improvement i
n performance, in the presence of partial-band jamming, is achieved, p
rimarily due to the equalization.
