Aa. Serikov et Ip. Terenetskaya, THE INFLUENCE OF RADIATION INTENSITY ON THE PATHWAYS OF PHOTOTRANSFORMATIONS OF CONFORMATIONALLY MOBILE MOLECULES, High energy chemistry, 28(3), 1994, pp. 224-229
The previously developed method of conformationally-selective laser ph
otochemistry is theoretically substantiated. The influence of radiatio
n intensity on the kinetics of photochemical reactions involving the f
ormation of conformationally mobile photoreaction products is consider
ed. The possibility of controlling the reaction kinetics and photoprod
uct concentrations by means of creating a non-equilibrium conformation
al population upon highly intensive picosecond laser irradiation is ex
emplified by the reaction, important in practice, of provitamin D phot
oisomerization.
