Az. Bagautdinov et al., THE INFLUENCE OF GAS RECIRCULATION THROUGH A PLASMATRON ON THE ENERGYEFFICIENCY OF A PLASMOCHEMICAL PROCESS, High energy chemistry, 28(3), 1994, pp. 237-239
The increase in degree of conversion of a substance during plasma proc
essing is often achieved by increasing the energy input into a dischar
ge, thus leading to an increase in power consumption. This effect can
be decreased if the high energy input is provided by successive contri
butions of small quantities of energy in several steps, for example, u
sing gas recirculation through a plasmatron. The influence of the reve
rse reactions can be diminished by partial isolation of the products a
fter each stage. The test experiments were performed on a high-power m
icrowave-plasma processing unit.
