FREE-RADICAL BOMBING OF SPERMATOZOA IN SPERMATIC GRANULOMA AN ATTEMPTTO PREVENT AUTOIMMUNE SWITCH-ON

Even though vasectomy-associated reactions in subjects are established , the biochemical attributes of the granuloma cells enabling them to p otently dispose of the accumulating epermatozoa remain unelucidated. T his study demonstrates a careful ''free-radical bombing'' within the g ranuloma interior to efficiently disintegrate all the structural eleme nts of the sperm cells, especially the proteins. A free radical trigge red and instantaneous protein-disposal could be important in avoiding early post-vasectomy autoimmune triggering. (C) 1994 Academic Press, I nc.
