Abstract
Dynamical characteristics of an integrodifferential system modelling t wo species competition with hereditary effects are investigated; in pa rticular we derive sufficient conditions for the persistence of the sp ecies, existence of an attracting periodic solution and 'level-crossin gs' of solutions about the periodic solution.
